Tasting Notes
The 2022 Kerr Cellars Pinot Noir sings with lifted aromatics of black cherry, raspberry, nori, pine forest, clove, and lilac. The palate is layered and fresh, with flavors of red and black fruits, sage, cedar, baking spices, rose, and black tea underpinned by a vibrant, velvety texture and long finish. Substantial, yet approachable and well-proportioned, this is a delicious wine that is on par with wines well above its price. Easily enjoyed in the near- to mid-term, yet will also cellar well.

A blend of the 3 clones, 3% Calera, 35% Pommard, 62% VR. Fermented in a stainless steel open top tank, with 45% whole cluster fermentation.

This Pinot Noir comes from the Silver Eagle vineyard in Sonoma, just outside the town of Occidental, and is a blend of the 3 clones, Calera, Pommard, VR. The morning fog and cool temperatures hang around until almost midday at this site, which helps to retain the fresh and pure flavors of the fruit.
