Tasting Notes
This wine shows off with aromas of orange blossom, lemon curd, Asian pear, white fig, kiwi, jasmine, and crushed white stones. On the palate, all of the aromas carry through, with the addition of tangerine zest and Meyer lemon, balanced with fresh acidity, mouth-coating silkiness, and an insanely long finish.  Ideal serving temperature: 53-55°F.

Our Sauvignon Blanc vineyard is located in the back blocks of the cool and famed Napa Valley AVA of Carneros. Fruit from this vineyard typically exhibits a generous fruit profile due to the sand and loam subsoil and the granite bedrock that is scattered throughout. Aromas of grapefruit, lemon oil, and fresh-cut basil leaves are hallmarks of this exquisite piece of dirt. Warm days and cool night is the key to the ripening cycle of this magnificent vineyard.

The 2020 growing season was really beautiful. The vines had a natural balance of canopy and fruit and the clusters received ideal dappled light throughout. The weather was stable around the ripening of the whites, resulting in intense flavors and fresh acidities. This is the single wine we were able to make from Napa Valley this vintage due to the fires and smoke that compromised the rest of the Napa Valley red grapes.
Pairing Sauvignon with Sémillon is the classic white blend of Bordeaux appellations like Pessac-Leognan and Entre-deux-Mers. These characterful, age-worthy wines are a million miles away from the intensely tropical and grassy modern Sauvignons.

We ferment our Sauvignon blend in French oak barrels for ten months to harmonize the grapes' character and bring out a rounded, supple weight to the wine. Aging the wine on its lees further develops the wine's character, seamlessly integrating freshness, body and a subtle hint of tannins. Pair this exceptionally balanced and layered wine with veal or pork in creamy mustard sauces, garlic and herb-roast chicken, or a Lebanese falafel tabbouleh.
