2016 was an ideal vintage for white grapes, with just enough winter rain to bring relief to the vines that have been struggling through a multi-year drought. The Bacigalupi vineyard was the source of the Chardonnay grapes that won the original 1976, Judgement of Paris‚ competition between French and American wines, and the quality of this vineyard is still impeccable. Sourced from the original Wente clone vines still planted at the vineyard, this wine is truly a rare gem to be treasured.
