The 2022 "Helicon" Reserve Red from the Sage Ridge Vineyard in Napa Valley is an exceptional wine, showcasing a captivating bouquet of black currant, black cherry, graphite, cocoa powder, savory herbs, and carnation. On the palate, it delivers vibrant aromas and remarkable freshness, featuring flavors of black currant, black licorice, sandalwood, dried sage, and clove. Its well-defined tannins add excellent texture and elevate the mid-palate, leading to a long, satisfying finish. This beautifully complex wine is enjoyable now, yet it possesses the structure and balance to age gracefully in the cellar, promising further evolution with time.

Winemaker Notes
The defining event weather wise of the 22 vintage was the labor day heat spike. Due to the elevation of Sage Ridge all of the blocks for this wine were harvested before that event, with the exception of the Petit Vedot. The Petit Vedot vines are well established and were able to withstand the heat with minimal impact. A truly standout wine, we are thrilled to offer this single vineyard BDX blend, a testament to terroir.
