Sold Out
100 Cases Produced
Our most coveted Pinot Noir for this vintage. A single vineyard wine from the Silver Eagle Vineyard in the Sonoma Coast. 100% Von Romanee clone. Only a handful of wineries in the US make Pinot Noir from this rare clone. Wonderful weight and balance on the palette express flavors of black cherry, Chinese five spice, forest floor notes and mandarin oil.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of Italian black cherry, raspberry, and currant are balanced with notes of forest floor, violet, lavender, black tea and bramble. The palate has a smooth entry with fine tannins that fully express the aromatics along with blood orange oil and mouthwatering acidity. Aged for 16 months in 100% French oak, 40% new, this wine has a beautiful balance of power and finesse, with a lingering freshness and a lengthy, textural finish.

Winemaker Notes
The 2019 vintage was a glorious, cool year, beginning with copious spring rains which brought us beautiful, healthy canopies. The vintage was reminiscent of the stunning 2018, yet the wines have their own hallmark of vibrant freshness, terrific intensity, bright acidity, silky entries, and long, driven finishes. Pinot and Chardonnay triumphed in this vintage. There is much to love about the wines from this beautiful vintage.
